Director's Comments

All hell breaks loose in Cop Town

Staff Review

Randy Yard:
If you're in the habit of skipping over films by directors whose name you don't recognize, I strongly urge you to not make that mistake here. Though plagued by some rookie errors, most notably light flicker and a Sopranos-esque abrupt ending, the overall talent behind the film is obvious; the editing, cinematography, and a plethora of effects are all well done. It's not an action film per se, as cartoony sound effects and high-pitched, fast-paced voicing abound; however, the film never quite makes up its mind whether or not it's a parody, and the resulting hybrid, though certainly entertaining, feels like it could have been a bit more so had the story been as comical as the sound mix. But make no mistake... this one is a heck of a fun watch as is, and viewers should have no qualms about taking a visit to "Cop Town."
