Staff Review

Randy Yard:
Be forewarned: this short contains some choice snippets from Christian Bale's obscenity-laden tirade, as well as an amusing yet mildly disturbing transposition of the Princess Leia torso. Leave the kids at home for this one.

Max Butcher certainly wasn't the only director to interpret the THAC 7 theme "unexpected" as "WTF?" and run with it, but it's probably safe to say he went the farthest in that direction. This short--actually quite long for a THAC entry at over five minutes--is a nonstop stream of nonsense, comic sound effects, and non sequiturs. Technically, it's nothing special (even below par in several areas), but spot-on comic timing and the rapid and uninterrupted torrent of inanities make this one work. Granted, it's not for everyone, but if this is your style of humor, it's definitely worth your while.
