Director's Comments

My film for the THAC contest. Overall, I am not very happy with it. It just didn't come out all that good.

I was trying out a new story telling style, so be sure to pay CLOSE mind to it. If you don't, you will get lose. The film does give you many hints in more then one way.

Anyway, hope you all enjoy!

Staff Review

Tripod:
A Brighter Past is not at all bad. Though the final product apparently differs from the Director's initial plans, it's none the less a short, but sweet brickfilm. While I won't explain much behind the plot (A THAC entry with a "surprise" theme), it's use of science fiction and dramatic elements make it interesting. The main character is sympathetic, and completes the puzzle of a working story. Original piano music creates a good atmosphere to accompany the rest. Scypax is a brickfilmer I'm becoming a fan of. If this comes from 24 hours of work, I can't wait to see what else he has to deliver. Overall, this is a very solid piece, and recommend you take a moment of your time to view it.
