Staff Review

Randy Yard:
Excellent sets and animation are enough to hold up this ultimately flawed THAC entry about an obstinate and quite possibly masochistic skateboarder. Repetition is the heart and soul of this film, and while much of this film's humor derives from the repeated elements, it's a valid argument that perhaps David went a bit overboard, recycling the same footage (and much of the audio) for almost three minutes of the film. While it all works in the end, thanks mostly to how good these rehashed pieces are, it's still a little too obvious that this version of the film was merely thrown together to meet deadline. Worth a view as is, but it definitely sends the viewer off in search of the director's cut.
