Ever since I saw movies like "Platoon"; "Black Hawk Down" and brickfilms like "Hold the lines" or "River" I've decided to give it a shot and make my own war flick. "The War Heroes" is an action comedy film about war.

Basic plot:
One of the last USA's struggles not to lose the Vietnam war. A black ops squad is assembled, these guys are called "Hell's Dogs" their mission is to cross the enemy lines and find the location of north Vietnam's weapon supplies (and of course destroy).

Squad:
Sgt. Lucious Harris (nickname sgt. Lucifer) a really tough guy, leader of the pack.
***Lucifer is a reference to Lego Clan brickfilms main villain Lucifer.

Pvt. Andrew Wilson - young soldier yet a pretty skilled warrior. Likes to tell stupid dirty jokes.

Pvt. Frank van Goors (nickname Dutch) - a violent man, natural born killer.
***Dutch is a reference to Arnold Schwarzenegger's character from "The Predator"

Pvt. Eli Banks - the 'smart guy' who always talks how black people are discriminated in USA. (yes he is African American)

Pvt. John Elias - second in command in this squad. A good soldier and a very bright guy too.
***Elias is a reference to Sgt. Elias from "Platoon" a character played by Willem Dafoe. John is like a brother of Elias yet this will not make a big difference (I'll probably mention it once in the script).

Ok, so far that's it guys :) gonna work on the script, cause right now it's really rough. Let me know what you think about this project.

I am currently in the process of writing the scripts for a new series of brickfilms called Barbarius the Champion. It is about a mercenary who is feared throughout the land. In each episode, he has to complete a new contract, which can vary greatly, from raiding a village to assassinating a very important person. It will be action, unlike many series of brickfilms.

I am still writing the first episode, but I hope to have finished all the scripts by February (and I almost definitely will have). Each episode will be around 1 to 3 minutes long, and there will hopefully be five episodes in the series.

It will be filmed with a Logitech Webcam Pro 9000, probably using Monkeyjam. It will be edited in Sony Vegas. The sound will be recorded with Audacity. Most of the music will be made by Kevin Macleod from Incompetech.com, although it will have an original theme song.

I will post more updates soon.

These are the action/drama series for all of the Resident Evil fans :) (or those who love zombie related films and series). I am currently writing the screenplay for the season 1 episodes. They'd be around 5-6minutes long in order to release them as often as possible.

The plot:
About a year after Raccoon City incident the Umbrella corporation is slowly collapsing. The T-Virus is now one of the most popular products on the black market and the terrorists are saving their hard earned cash for this chaos spreading weapon. Season 1 mostly tells the story of agent Leon Kennedy (the famous character from RE games), Leon is doing everything he can to keep this world safe and to destroy Umbrella corporation and it's partners. Throughout this Leon's adventure we get to meet the other characters the fans of this franchise fell in love with (like Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield and the others).

These series would not be attached to the story of the games or the films. The storyline itself would be completely from scratch, only the characters are borrowed/taken from the games.

How to write a professionally-formatted screenplay

More than often do I see scripts in the forum that are written too disjointed and unclear. This is annoying. By writing your screenplay in the right format, it will:

1. Look more professional.

2. Be easier on the eye.

3. Improve your chances to be taken seriously.

4. And as a result of that, improve your chances on finding voice actors.

The format is very simple. First you have your scene heading, here's an example:

EXT. BALCONY - NOON

EXT. stands for exterior, which you write if the scene is set outside. If the scene is set inside, you write INT. (interior).

Then you write the location of the scene, the example it is set on a balcony. If it's set in a kitchen, write "KITCHEN".

Lastly in the scene heading, write the time of the seen, like "NIGHT", "MORNING", etc.

The scene heading is always written in CAPITALS.

Second, you have your scene description. This is written in present tense, and NOT in capitals, it's centered to the left. Do not mention camera angles in the description, this isn't interesting to read for others, nor is it relevant to them. It might be easy for you, but you're better to either storyboard or make a shotlist.

Dialogue is written like this:

                                                      PILLOW

                                              Insert generic line.

The character talking is written in capitals, above the dialogue, which is not written in capital letters. Both are centered in the middle.

Then there's transitions. Thing like "CUT TO BLACK" or "FADE TO". These are written in capitals and centered to the RIGHT. After a transition, a new scene heading should follow, unless it's the end of the script.

That's it, basically. This format has no downsides. It's easier to write, and it looks a lot better. You can do this in Word, but if you want you can download a screenwriting software called CeltX (just google it), or Final Draft if you're willing to pay a ridiculous price, but that really isn't worth it.

Here's an example of a scene from the JUNO script:

EXT. CENTENNIAL LANE - DUSK

JUNO MacGUFF stands on a placid street in a nondescript subdivision, facing the curb. It’s FALL. Juno is sixteen years old, an artfully bedraggled burnout kid. She winces and shields her eyes from the glare of the sun. The object of her rapt attention is a battered living room set, abandoned curbside by its former owners. There is a fetid-looking leather recliner, a chrome-edged coffee table, and a tasteless latchhooked rug featuring a roaring tiger.

                                                                       JUNO (V.O.)
                                                               It started with a chair.

Oh, right. (V.O.) stands for Voice over, and (O.S.) stands for off screen.

Batman first encounter will be the first full brick film I am setting out to do.
The movie takes place very early in Batman's career roughly 6 to 7 months into it with the dark Knight still being wanted by Gotham police.
It is also Batman's first encounter with the Joker.
I am trying very hard to stray away from previous Batman projects and bring my own take on what went down when Batman first meets the Joker and the impact it has on him.
We also will see what impact Batman has had on Joker.
The script is done and has been revised with rave reviews from the people who have read it.
Story boarding is complete.
All voice parts except for one has been cast.
I will be taking baby steps in the filming of this movie with only one scene being shot and edited at a time.
I have nominated two of my closest friends associated to Shrambo Studios and to this project to give the thumbs up or down on each scene.
Want this to be a great film.
Will update progress of film as it is available.
Don't have a set date for release as I will filming the movie in between other projects.
Now I need one last part filled and that is the part of Alfred.
Anyone auditioning must have an English accent or can do a good English accent.
Here is the audition line.
Alfred – “I say to what lengths people will sink to, to dolly themselves up.”
Alfred has a total of four lines. (SEND LINES TO SHRAMBOSTUDIOS@HOTMAIL.COM AND PLEASE RECORD LINES IN EITHER A WAVE FILE OR MP3 OR MP4)
Also if anyone is interested in doing sound design please let me know.
More to come.

Scene: Scrolling Credits

War! The Galactic Republic, fighting on numerous fronts, has it's troops spread thin. The casualties rise as attacks from the Separatists grow more frequent. With Tatooine becoming a key planet in the war due to it's hyperspace lanes, it has come under intense fighting. The 182nd, some of the most elite troops in the Republic, has come to aid the troops on Tatooine, defending an outpost in the Dune Sea.

Scene 1: Republic Star Cruiser heads into atmosphere.

Scene 2: The two ARC trooper's and the ARF's.

Crack: Sir why are we here because I am particularly bored and I wanna go home and drink soda.
Scorch: We're here to help these idiots here at the outpost
Croc: So we're here cause a couple troops can't shoot straight?
Scorch: Bingo!

Scene 3: The clones inside the outpost.

Knack: Sir why are am I waiting here because I am particularly bored and I wanna
Knick: Shut up...
Knack: You shut up!
Boss: (Shoots in between the two). Will you two shut up!

A knock is heard at the door.

Wolf: Is that the pizza?

ARC trooper's Scorch & Sev with ARF troopers Crack and Croc walk in.

Sev: No it's not
Wolf: Did you bring soda?
Crack: Yep! (holds soda can up)

Scorch stares at Crack angrily, causing Crack to put the soda can down.

Boss: Welcome to the outpost guys!

Scorch: Save the hello's for later, how is our situation on the droids and their position.
Boss: Take a look for yourself!
Sev: (looks out the window). I Don't see anythin...WOAH!

Scene 4: A Battle Droid squad.

Back to Scene 3

Sev: Why wasn't anyone on lookout!
Knick: We were waiting for the pizza...

Another knock is heard at the door.

Wolf: That must me it! (Runs to the door).
Wolf: (Answers door)
Battle Droid: Droid Pizza Delivery!

Sev shoot's the droid.

Sev: Get the ARF's on the roof, we must defend the base!

Back to Scene 4

Commando Droid: Sir, we are ready to attack.
Savage Opress: Good, begin the assault.

Scene 5: The ARF troopers on the roof.

Croc: Sir! We are in position to take out the Sith, should we take the shot?
Boss: Wait a sec, let's think this through.
Savage Opress: Let's take out these idiot clones, dog's will gnaw on their bones!
Boss: Blow his freaking head off!
Croc: (shoots and misses)
Croc: Did I mention that Crack was the sniper?
Savage Opress: Open fire!

Scene 5

Scorch: We are taking heavy hits!
Sev: Thanks for stating the obvious Scorch!
Scorch: Get out of my face!
Boss: (Fires in between the two). Calm down! I have a plan to get us out of here.
Knack: Not that one! It'll never work, we will get killed for sure!
Knick: Not if we use these rocket launchers as a distraction.
Sev: What is this plan anyway?
Boss: Well, whenever these guys aren't killing themselves, I worked on a small transport ship. We can use it to get to get out of here.
Knack: And where are we going?
Boss: There's an abandon outpost nearby, similar to this one, we can get there and contact the Republic.
Scorch: Oh yeah, they made tons of these outposts!
Knick: Alright, lets move!
Boss: Crack, do you read me?

Scene 6

Crack: (Blaster shots in background) Loud and clear sir!
Boss: We are getting out of here!
Croc: Are you using that junk pile right next to us?

Scene shows the craft in expanded shot.

Boss: (Over radio) Yep!
Wolf: Alright, I’ll fly it down to the door, we will pick you guys up
Boss: Great, before you do fire a couple rockets at the droid transport, just to get em a bit nervous
Croc: Already ahead of you! (Fires rocket, disabling transport)
Wolf: Okay let's move!

Ship takes off

Boss: Okay everyone let's go go go!

Everyone rushes to door.

Wolf lands ship

Commando Droid: Hey! There escaping! Blast 'em!
Other Droids: Roger Roger!

Sev: This is the ship? It's a hunk of junk!
Boss: It ain't pretty, but it flies! Now everyone get on or we're all dead!

Ship shows everyone on board, and then taking off.

Commando droid: Sir, the clones got away.
Savage Opress: (Places droid in Force Choke) You have failed me for the last time droid. (Destroys droid)

Final Scene shows ship flying into distance.

A: Poor plot
B: Poor special effects.

But now, i am going to make a very long movie , with somewhat good special effects.

Heres how i hope it will go down

1. Get stop motion software (i was looking at helium frog, but couldn't figure out how to import jpg's)

2. Get the minifigs needed (i need the new clone battle pack thats gonna get realesed on january 30th)

3. Capture frames using camera (i cant use my webcam since it is built into my laptop)

4. Use LSmaker to add special effects

5. Put all frames into stop motion software (most likely monkey jam)

5. Once i have all the frames right, and they are rendered in the software, i put them in Windows movie maker for any more editing. And i add voices using audacity.

6. Use Wax 2.0 to add any explosians, and background soundtracks

Greetings fellow animators. I seek inspiration for a shakespear lego film I'm writing a script for called, "The Comedy of Errors." Perhaps some of you have heard of it. The Comedy of Errors tells the story of two sets of identical twins that were accidentally separated at birth. When the younger (foreign, and never been to that town) twins encounter the friends and families of the other twins, a series of wild mishaps based on mistaken identities lead to wrongful arguments, an arrest, and accusations, theft, madness, and pure comedy. I'm taking this idea from a play by shakespear and wanted some input. The overall story didn't have much action which I think I may add a fight scene in the middle. For example, the older twin will challenge another knight to a duel, but be taken to jail for some reason and then his inexperienced younger twin ends up fighting in his place as a fool-knight! Still working on ideas, I do have all the characters and I'll be making it about 10 minutes or so. Wish me luck, it may end up taking a while. :dizzy:
