Finally finished. Took forever to make, had to do several adjustments on lighting and sound. 10 hours of filming and 10 hours of editing. I'm fairly pleased with the result, I'm just not sure the public or even this site will like it much however. But yes, hope you enjoy, and special thanks to Smeagol for great voice acting and a few suggestions, and also to Squash for also doing great voice work!

Re: Stars

Nice one Scypax.  The thing I love most about your brickfilms is that they are unique, much different from the norm, and it's very refreshing.  Keep it up.

Re: Stars

Awesome! Where you staring at the night sky when you thought of this?

Re: Stars

This just totally great. I got a goose bumps after watching this. Fantastic work you did.

Re: Stars

Awesome, really awesome.
I liked the slow-paced style. Looks very professional. Also, the story is very nice and pretty well made.
Casting was awesome (Squash is awesome in voice-acting).
One tip: Try to film your next movie in widescreen, looks a bit nicer
Be proud of yourself.

Re: Stars

Scypax, that was an awesome film. I felt that the lighting was great, and I enjoyed the slow-paced style of it. The only one thing that I would have improved if I had done it, it to put a subtle effect in as a bright light when he turns into a star. It was still quite fun to watch though.

Yes, I made a typo, thanks for pointing that out guys. I fixed it. Also thank you for all the wonderful feedback, I am honestly pleasantly shocked at the success so far of this film.  Oh, and BGAnimations, I was going to have an effect of some kind, but I felt that maybe it would be better if the mind explored how the stars took him. I dunno.

But thank you very much everyone!!!!! mini/bigsmile mini/bigsmile mini/bigsmile

Re: Stars

Nice film Scypax, I really liked the story mini/smile. The animation looked pretty good, but some of the framing looked a little awkward in my opinion. Great job !

...and BGAnimations...

mini/lol  That's a mistake a lot of people make. The A in animations isn't capitalized. No sweat though.

Re: Stars

Amazing film. Just amazing. One f the great things about this film is that, as FP said, it's very unique.

I agree that less is more in this case.

Anyway I liked the finished film pretty well, the lighting and set were nice.  I wish there had been some hint that more time had passed before the guy came out to talk about the new star.  But yeah, a unique concept and I thought you pulled it off.

This was magic mini/smile .

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

Re: Stars

Wow!  That was awesome.  Excellent film Scypax.  It really made me imagine.  Great voice acting Smeagol and Squash.

Re: Stars

I personally didn't enjoy the film that much. The storyline seemed a little thin; it's pretty much just one dude trippin' out while the other guy doesn't know what's going on. (Seems a little cliche to me) I would've liked to see a little more effects when he goes and becomes a star, rather than the screen just appearing black. Also, I think that the characters needed better names to suit the film more. Like, Jimmy. Seriously? mini/blankexpression

Putting aside all of that, I really liked the camera angles, the lighting and the voice acting was well done.

Re: Stars

I agree with MooCJ, it was a bit cliche, and Jimmy was a very silly name in a very serious film. The pacing was nice, and everything else was good. I would've also liked to see a little more animation, or pace that slower, because everything that they did went quickly. A few things messed up the pacing, but I definitely loved it! Nice job!

Re: Stars

MooCJ: It's a great honor to get feedback from you. From all of you, in fact. And well, the film is designed to take the viewer places without actually taking them places, if you know what I mean. The story is as thick or thin as you make it. That's the whole point. Aside from that, the general plot of peace and love has had its run in the movies many times before...but then the question comes up...is that what it was really about? Or was it something more or less? Is this story a vast forest or a as big as the backyard it took place in? I would agree the name Jimmy was pushing it in a serious film. I honestly don't see the comedy of Jimmy. But I would agree you would expect the dude who doesn't know what's going on to be named Jimmy, and the dude who is sane to be named Zack. Anyway, I didn't have effects for that imagination reason and because I don't have the means of doing anything that would look good. But dude, if you really liked the camera angles, we are friends for life, because that's always something I wonder over, yet many don't get them. But yeah, totally, thank you very much for the feedback, it will help me improve in my future films!

Awesomeonomy: Thanks for the feedback as well. Yeah, there wasn't a whole lot of animation. I was aiming for a slow pace that went quickly, if that makes sense. But really glad you enjoyed it! And what parts messed up the pacing to you? (Just so I can improve in the future).

Everyone else: Once again, thank you for watching my film, and I'm glad the film's primary mission is working out for the most part. mini/smile

That was completely magical and stuff like that. Awesome acting. Wonderful lighting. Great storyline. Well paced. I think you get my point. mini/tongue

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.
