Here Is a shot from my WIP movie called "Ed night":
The guys infocus laying on the ground were shooten up. With the inclination of the cam I want to create more atmosphere. That's also the reason why the deph of field is so smal. The viewer should feel himself in scene.
What do you think about the setting .. did it work?
I don't like the angle. The frame is weighted to the left, as well. But I like the small DOF, and the set looks pretty good.

But do not fear, I may return to it one day.Thanks for the feedback guys but to be honest this shot was an accident I took a picture and it just turned out like this and I thought hey thats cool. Yes I agree it does look a bit orange but I was experimenting with natural sun and color since the sun isn't pure white

I think the orange adds a certain atmosphere to the frame, although it's hard to expand on that without seeing the scene itself.

I can't believe I've never heard of this thread before. Seems like a great idea, lets keep it alive.
Anyway, RobBrick, your frames not bad at all. I just think that you should try to experiment with the lighting a bit more, it'll just add to the effect I think. I don't really know whats happening though, the lighting could be perfect for what your planning.
Hey, Thanks! The lighting is for a old Mental Institute, so I think it does a good job And he's just discovered
he's Mental, and that he has been speaking weird alien language for the last 2 years...
