I quite liked this, but honestly what I mostly liked about it was the technical side about it. I'm iffy about the story, as to it relating to the A-G, but everything else was really well done! I found it to be highly entertaining, however it did seem to end a bit *too* quickly.
Personally I think it is more than worthy to be in the A-G, and well done!

I love this, especially the police station you built and the addition of the guys from cyclic.
I just got a raging brainer (Futurama-reference).
Incredible animation with all those dolly and pan shots (and these aren't cheap digital pans, either). I'm especially impressed with the dolly shot at 1:40 that pulls through the glass windows. Certainly a shot you don't normally see done in a brickfilm. What did bother me was how rush it looked, but that's probably due to syncing with the music.
Avant-Garde-worthy? Hell yes!
If this doesn't win, I will eat my own head. I loved how it timed to the music and, as always, the animation was extremely creative. My favourite shots were the guy swimming in the money and the tiny car.
It's definitely one of my 3 favorites.
Great animation and story.
Crime Stories is what could be descried as a Brickfilming Masterpiece. It doesn't happen often that you get that perfect mix, but Bodville has demonstrated what you can do when you put effort into it.
Basically the premise is that a group of prisoners who break loose from jail and start wreaking havoc around the city. A pretty simple idea, yet it's executed well and is different in the sense that there is no dialogue, something that makes this unique. I wouldn't describe it as a serious film, as I actually laughed at various parts - partly because of their absurdity and partly as LEGO makes it look that bit funnier.
The opening scene is simple yet very enjoyable: the camera follows a Police Officer as he walks through the Police Station. The station itself is designed well and the colour arrangement is more then pleasing to the eye. However the thing most striking about this scene is the way every character there is moving and working, as apposed to most other brickfilms where they stay like statues, and only the main character is in motion.
The animation is the most spectacular thing about this film, as it stays strong and quick the entire time, creating a nice pace throughout. The set design doesn't have a lot to boast about, as there aren't that many buildings other then the Modular Houses when the chase sequence is taking place. That being said, Bodville doesn't once take the easy way out at any part of this film.
Another thing I love about this, as I love editing in general, is the way he edits in time perfectly to the music - making it that bit more enjoyable. Scenes such as the bank scene and the chase show this off well.
So overall this doesn't fall short in any area. It's strong, technically well done, and generally a great Brickfilm. The only problem is - is it Avant-Garde? After thinking it through I would say yes, as there hasn't been something of this animation quality in some while. So taking all that into account, this film gets a 95/100.

That was quite enjoyable; the camera movements were extremely impressive. I wouldn't call it avant-garde, but it certainly takes some things to a new level.
Wow, that was pretty bloody incredible. The camera work and some of the cool animation techniques you used were really cool.
I got a hell of a kick out the guy swimming in the pile of money.
That was really great. The camera work is some of the best I've seen in a brickfilm. Although I personally didn't find it to be very avant-garde in the plot, it certainly was avant-garde in the animation, and it was no doubt a very enjoyable and entertaining film.
The storyline is not Avant-Garde, the animation, yes. That reminds me your Train to Catch. 4.5 stars!
Aside from the animation being a bit fast for my liking, I really enjoyed it. And I agree with filmyguy about the swimming through the money, that was amazing and hilarious.

That was awesome! I was really impressed with all the smooth camera movements. I can understand why it needed to be so fast and yet at times I wish it wasn't. As LGFB Studios said, the storyline wasn't avant-garde but doing a rock opera, IMO, is. Another thing that makes this film AG is the animation speed. Even though I didn't always like how fast the animation was, not many people make films that have extremely fast and yet smooth animation (unless they're filming at 30fps and moving their minifig large increments 
). When I saw what fancypants had commented about the lady pushing the stroller, I scanned through the film to see what he had been talking about. I smiled when I saw it This is one of my favorite AG entries. Hope you do well in the contest!

It was amazing. Like Lech already said, that camera movement at 1:40 was quite impressive. This is one of my favourite entries
