"Zoetrope" Isn't too bad, it costs $1.99 though so its not worth it. I just tried the trail.

Just to add to this thread:
Monkeyjam, Animator DV Simple and Stop Motion Pro (trial) all work absolutely fine with Windows 8.
In fact most things do including cameras as long as you download the Windows 8 specific drivers.
The only exception I have found (as mentioned before) is Helium Frog but that is easily fixed.
I enjoy using Sony Vegas Studio 11 ith Window 8. I've tried 9 and it works too.
