Flatland (2007)

It wasn't too bad, but they strayed from the plot a lot, and for all the social commentary, never explained the heirarchy of polygons.  Also, one of the square's children was a HEXAGON!  How is that possible?  There was a long segment (pun intended) when A. Square was returning to Flatland that I couldn't wait to see end... and it wasn't even like they tried for the majestic final trip in 2001: A Space Odyssey.  The animation was pleasant, though, and it was very funny at various points (pun intended).

Frozen

I expected I would love it an I did.  It's really good like all the people who like it say it is.
I was really annoyed that Tangled was a pretty good movie, but they kept having bad songs, and there was only one good song throughout the entire movie, all the rest felt like filler where they barely even try.  This on the other hand has really good songs throughout it.  It's been a really long time since Disney has pulled off a musical this good.
I was a bit afraid that Olaf would get really annoying, but he didn't, and was present for just about as long as he should be.  He had a nice few funny lines.

This only problem really is that some vispwoshton went off and spoiled it for me.  I had specifically avoided seeing any trailer or ever once listening to the songs so that it would be nice and fresh when I saw it.  But no!  Someone had to go off and spoil it and ruin my fun.

I watched the Honest Trailer mini/blankexpression But, even though I had ruined it for myself, I still thought the twist was pretty basic and dull.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

This was a pretty good movie! There's so much action and drama and it's all very well done combined with a great story. Easily one of the best Marvel movies yet!

Heaven Is For Real (2014)

If you're a devout Christian looking for a subtle, powerful watch, check this one out. Just in time for the Easter weekend, Heaven Is For Real offers captivating performances from Greg Kinnear, Thomas Haden Church, and others.

But, Connor Corum steals the show as Colton, an innocent 4-year-old who manages to catch a glimpse of the other side, while undergoing a medical operation. From walking with Jesus to meeting his ancestors, Colton returns to Earth, seemingly unscathed. But, that doesn't stop him from sharing his afterlife experiences with the townsfolk of his small Nebraska community. His father, a pastor, ever curious to learn more of these happenings, is unable to fully understand what exactly had occurred. But, that doesn't stop him from extensively researching.

And Razzie-nominated screenwriter Randall Wallace (for Pearl Harbor) adapts this true story into a feature-length film. Luckily, his attempt is successful this time around. His script is charming and powerful. The only thing I can see wrong with it is why they decided to modernize it, instead of having it set in the year that the events took place: 2003. But, that's merely a nitpick. I really enjoyed Heaven Is For Real and I recommend it to everyone, regardless of religious preferences.

Frozen

So I finally got around to watching it, and I gotta say I really enjoyed it. The animation and music were beautiful and the story was surprisingly unpredictable. At one point I thought to myself, "Ugh. I know EXACTLY how this is ending." And then it was nothing like I had expected. So right there was great to see. The main "twist" honestly I didn't feel was deserved. There was really nothing that you could look back and be like "OH how did I miss that?" And my only other real complaint is that I feel like Kristov's character could have been fleshed out a bit more. But other than that, I really had fun with it, and you should watch it if you haven't already.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

So I was really excited to see this, and I heard a lot of positive feedback about it, and I went in pretty optimistic.

It was all lies.

I was honestly let down. Mainly because there are a lot of unnecessary and pointless characters and scenes. For example, the guy in the title, the Winter Soldier.  Literally they could have ripped him out and the story would have not changed very much. In fact, it would have actually been better, because for a majority of this, I kept thinking, "...I kinda want to see some more Winter Soldier stuff." And also, the Falcon. I understand why he would relate to the Cap but once he was established, he did NOTHING to help the plot whatsoever. He too could have been taken out and the story wouldn't have changed very much. Oh, and the humor. UGH THE HUMOR. It was either a hit or miss. There were some actually funny moments in there...but there were a lot that just fell completely flat. My final complaint is the lazy script-writing. There were multiple situations where it was as if the writers thought "Um...we need to get this character out of this dangerous situation...let's just make up a random device that they have to get them out of it!" And then they do. Now, if they had already established that device beforehand, then it might pass, but they just popped out of thin air.

Now, all that isn't to say I hated it. Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansen, and pretty much everyone was great. The action scenes were wonderfully done, and there plenty of intense moments. And I liked that they had the guts to basically shake up the entire Marvel universe. This movie isn't horrible by any means, I just was really disappointed by it.

This was so amazing. I just loved it so much, the animation was beautiful and the music was amazing. The actors were very talented, and I just love it so much. Sadly the twist was spoiled by my sister... mini/madhead Anyway, this movie is great and is now my favorite movie ever.

Actually, my sister thought that him being the youngest prince of twelve brothers worked as that sort of thing.  It does put him in a position to be so close and yet so far from power.

As far as documentaries go this was much less blah than a lot of other like trendy documentaries, I liked it a lot. It had a good message too, and was a perspective that we don't get to see very often so yeah, this film was good.

Some people think it's overrated due to the fact that people idolize it and respect is as one of the greatest animated films ever made. Others judge it solely on what Lucas had mentioned, its two Oscar wins and its $1B gross.

Fast Five
Ridiculously fun film to watch. I am fully aware of the film's shortcomings (Weak dialogue and a script that doesn't make much sense), but it was such a fun movie that I didn't really care. It's not on the same level as Oscar worthy films, but it accomplishes its purpose effectively.

We're the Millers
The story was just terrible; it was a repeated and tried story that offered little to no knew ground of any previous comedy. However, the film is won over with its dialogue - nice witty, hilarious, fulfilling dialogue that fills the massive gap left by the lack of story. The acting was another big plus, with stellar performances from all involved. With the dialogue and acting redeeming the film, it was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

It can be funny and terrible at the same time. That is possible.

I mean, spiderman 3.

Oh no, Spider-man 3 was a work of art. I mean, the walking-down-the-street-dancing scene wasn't painful at all, and all three villains were evenly paced. Plus, the actual story made complete sense.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Frozen
Oh why did I even bother watching it?
The story for this film is pretty much your everday Disney princess one, with the villian being the same as any; backstabbing, betrayer, list goes on!
One of the things that I didn't like about the film was its character design, pretty much the same as Tangled. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they used the same models.
The music was alright, not enough 'power' or 'chiz-zaz' to 'wow' me, just thought it was pretty bland at times. On a side note 'Let it Go' was only good for its many parodies it had created.
Not to be a hater tater, but I just think Disney are now pretty much re-hashing there common stories, tweaking them, and making them into a mediocre film, which could have been something better, if their stories were more dynamic.

Then again, what else can I say? Its a film made for children, not for young adults.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I agree,Its like disney has a wall that has one plot and script. But they change the character and set design. mini/lol  Make a real movie!
