How so? What do you mean by purist?
Purist as in "everything must me an in-camera effect".
That isn't what purist means. Purist has do do with modifying actual parts. Not in camera doesn't make it non-purist.
@END films, I said "purist animator", not purist LEGO fan. A purist animator could be someone that does claymation, and hates using special effects. I guess my joke didn't work...
I think we need to get back on topic now.
With no shortness of pain while filming, i present a clip from Station Zero Episode 1.
Those shots look amazing. How are you animating the rain?
Whoa! Very good! Nice to know i'm not the only one to have nearly only bricks from the Pet Shop to build walls with. Literally, every video of mine contains some type of red-brown or blue-grey wall. If you think it's too bright, then render some clips and add colour correction to them, or add correction to the frames themselves.
thanks mate,
well, 3 layers.
1) I spray water on to lego
2) in post, I add rain
3) in post I add drops on screen....
All those frames look nice, Cooked Cat. About the third image, have you thought about adding motion blur?

That would be a style choice.

Ohhh tomorrow?? That's awesome bud! Am I in the first one at all?!
I'm excited for it man!
I was staying up late last night working on this teaser trailer, took me 9 hours to complete.
heres a photo.
Yes the photo is dark, I did want to compensate this with adding reactive lighting but I don't know how it works when the minifig is constantly moving, so if anyone can tell me this that would be awesome I was looking for an answer for ages yesterday with no luck.
Heres the finished video, I'd love some feedback, first time doing proper blue screening as well

watched the video, not bad. how many lights on your bluescreen?
yes, you are in both of those frames.
Thanks man,
That's the thing bro, only one lamp was used, it was just a mistake I honestly forgot after shooting about half way through when I realized. I've have two lamps but planning on getting one more, and the lamp was more in the middle of the set than the blue-screen, and was the only light source.
That's awesome man look forward too it!
Sincerely,
Divine.
I've continued to make progress on my opening shot. Added more lights and tweaked the blocking. There are about 70 separate LEDs in this shot. I still need to play with the color temperature (I warmed up the shot a bit but not much) and build the interior for the Super Burger. I'm not show how I feel about all of the colors in the skyline. Please let me know your thoughts!
Provided your camera isn't moving, maybe see if you can get a piece of fly-screen to put in front of the skyline to make the lights look a little distant, and it'll encourage some bokeh to happen in the lens to increase depth.
@Divine,
its best to have atleast 2 lamps on the blue/greenscreen at all times.... so, have another shot when you get the rest of ya lamps.
Sneak Peek of "Journey to the Centre of Time!" by rioforce, on Flickr
This is a frame from my upcoming film "Journey to the Centre of Time!". I'm not going to say much and spoil the plot, but this is the time machine, and that is a decapitated minifigure. Nobody got hurt.
