Remember that any book on the subject helps promote our hobby and an entry level book for beginners is hard to get wrong. There is a wealth of information on the net about starting the hobby. She's done something I'm too lazy too - put it into a book.
This author might have a presence under a different name but I'll repeat, it would be great to see some films done by the author, or associated with the author. She has done a few books on lego:
SARAH HERMAN s a freelance writer and editor with a number of non-fiction books under her belt. She holds a 1st class degree in Journalism and has worked for Summersdale Publishers, and Titan Publishing Group. She has also written for magazines including Star Wars Insider, Torchwood, and The Lab Magazine. Her first book DOES ANYTHING EAT !@#$? sold more than 30,000 copies. She has since written books about Facebook, famous assassinations, and LEGO among other things. Her latest book - Extreme Bricks - is out now.

I'm guessing she has an interest in lego and brick films and perhaps someone close to her is engaged in the hobby.
edit: Here we go - she is or she's married to a lego nut - I mean husband.
She lives in England with her LEGO and her husband.
