Topic: Good for Grapes - Little Carmichael

This summer I was on a bit of an adventure, and part of the project involved filming musicians as I travelled across Canada. This is the opposite of a brickfilm: a one-take live music video. I shot this one on Saturday in Calgary, because while these guys are from BC, they're still on tour right now.

Although I guess the opposite of a brickfilm would probably be a plate that used to contain mashed potatoes. But that's another thing altogether.

You are definitely right about the adventure part-what fun and good for you! The music from this one was great and the camera work was nice- I would have been horrible holding the camera as I sway/move with the music. Thanks for this- it made my day.

Even though it was one-take were there multiple takes?

For these guys I did two takes per song, because I wasn't sure about shooting so many musicians at once. On occasion I only did one take, but it depends on the musician and how comfortable they seemed to be with doing a couple takes.
