This week’s Brickfilm of the Week is Found by Steffen Troeger and Sandra Abele.

Found is a 2006 slice of life brickfilm by Steffen Troeger and Sandra Abele. It follows the story of a man who finds a beautiful flower, and is an adaptation of the poem of the same name by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. It was created for the Steinerei 2006 festival and won second place in the audience vote.

Steffen Troeger, better known as Go Le Go! was a member of Brickfilms.com and continues to make brickfilms to this day. He is also known for Dance of Death, the Bricks in Love series, 802.701 The Time Machine, and iWater.

One of my favorite films. I remember being blown away by the flower animation and the digging shot in particular when I first watched it. The lush sets and brick-built scale changes are still impressive to me, and I agree with Robukka that the music is fun and fits the action well.

Sorry to admit I had never seen this before. Really nice sets and visuals. Like a lot of Steffen's films, it has a unique atmosphere and tone to it that I enjoy.
