im famous
My first band, The Groovers, once appeared on a compilation album with Hot Waffles.
He hasn't seen my brickfilms (that I know of), but I do know the head of the lighting department for Dreamworks. He's currently working on How to Train Your Dragon 2.
I've won a few film festivals before where I met a lot of high-end irish animators and filmmakers who watched and commended my work, the names probably wouldn't mean a lot to most of you.
However, I did have the pleasure of showing my animation works to a man named Tomm Moore, who directed the film 'The Secret of Kells'. He's a wonderful guy and he said he really enjoyed them, so much so he'd like to take me on next year as work experience at his animation company, Cartoon Saloon.
Pretty psyched!
Onion, that is absolutely amazing, congratulations!
Congratulations Onion, that's so cool!
Very nice Onion! May I ask, how many Film Festivals have you participated in, in Ireland (I take it you are in the South?) I wanted to try and contact various festivals up here, but there is no direct application to enter though.
Just browsing through the old threads, and I remmbered someone famous who has seen my films. Last year, one of my facebook friends, unaranged by me, decided to contact Lego on my behalf to see if I could get early access to Star Wars sets to make films with them. I didnt know that he had even done this, until I get an email from the head of Lego Star Wars. Long story short, due to contracts they cant let me have early access, but it was pretty awesome that my friend liked my animations so much he felt what he did was necessary, and for someone so senior in Lego to go to the effort of contacting me. I felt pretty special.
