I've playtested a crude printed-on-cardstock version with a different set of monsters with some 5th graders and let them come up with a gameplay based on the premise that each monster has a weakness to a certain Logic Gate and you have to have the right combination of binary gems and Logic Gate to defeat it.
Basically you have Logic Gate cards, Dark Magic and Light Magic cards, and monster cards mixed into a deck. Each player take turns drawing a card. If they draw a Logic Gate or magic card, they hold onto it. If they draw a monster card, it is placed face up and all players collaboratively combine the right Logic Gate and magic card they have to defeat the monster. This is the simple version.
A more elaborate game would be along the line of monster battles where if a monster drawn becomes the player's monster and other players attempt to defeat it by arming their monster with logic blasters.
Another possibility is furthering the Logic Gate/Boolean operator lesson by combining Logic Blasters, but a point system would need to be developed to encourage combo attacks.
I've designed it so that there are multiple variants to the game, from collaborative to competitive
