Topic: Lego Masking Test

Hey guys. I decided to give masking a go so here's the final result.

Hopefully it wasn't too bad for a first attempt! mini/lol

Re: Lego Masking Test

Not bad. As long as there's no light flicker, masking should work pretty easily. Didn't notice any light flicker, so you're fine mini/yes

Re: Lego Masking Test

Awesome! Thanks man. The only problem I had with this was I accidentally moved the backdrop so it jolted. I will need to take more care in the future mini/bigsmile Cheers for the reply buddy.

Re: Lego Masking Test

Well done! It was neat.
There was only one problem, at 0:10" the background moved a bit. I think you noticed that by yourself too mini/wink .

Re: Lego Masking Test

nice

Re: Lego Masking Test

Thanks Shahriar! Yeah exactly, it would have looked a lot better without that little mistake! mini/lol

Thanks Vinceleto mini/smile Welcome to the forums too!

Re: Lego Masking Test

Good Work! The jump animation is not bad,but it looked a little bit choppy. The masking looked great though.

Re: Lego Masking Test

Looks good! If your post production software allows you to, try adding a shadow when the figure jumps across. It ought to make it look even more convincing!

Re: Lego Masking Test

I couldn't spot the masking, so it must have been good. Watch out for screen direction though. Having the guy walk from right-to-left in the final shot goes against the left-to-right motion established in the previous shots and makes it less clear.
