Re: Post Your Music!

I thought I'd share another since I've been uploading quite a few of them for downloads and sales.

This one seems to be a favorite of listeners, and is requested every time I perform live.

-  Song Title: Cell Phone
-  Band Name: Tinnitis
-  Genre: Techno-Pop
-  Description: A song about the joys of cell phones.

I just released an instrumental called "Tormented Soul."

Re: Post Your Music!

Hello BiM. Hopefully this is ok for me to bump this thread. I just wanted to share a song I did with all of you.

Gus's Son
Dancing With Pneumonia
Industrial?
This song samples Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. So obviously it ain't royalty free. This is the first song I made that wasn't done in an hour. I spent multiple days on it. Hope you enjoy. Any feedback is welcome.

Re: Post Your Music!

sure you can bump.  I was just about to.

This song is awesome.  I just love the pulsing beat, which reminds me of the 80s song "I Like 'lectric Motors", but the ride cymbals reminds me of Nitzer Ebb's "Alarm". The whole thing in fact has a vintage vibe, reminds me of a mix of early Nitzer Ebb and vocals like early Front 242.  I definitely would characterize it as industrial.  I love it from beginning to that extra bonus at the end.

Here's one song I recorded five years ago, for the Sheckies Tribute album, on CD and digital download on Ramone to The Bone Records.  It's a rendition of their obscure song, "Ferris Wheel".  I'm slowly but gradually uploading my discography to Bandcamp.

-  Song Title: Ferris Wheel
-  Band Name: Tinnitis
-  Genre: Electro-Punk
-  Description: A remake of The Sheckies' song
-  Link(s): https://tinnitis.bandcamp.com/track/ferris-wheel

Re: Post Your Music!

Thanks HOO. Glad you enjoyed it. I liked the fading effect or whatever it was on your vocals in The Sheckies cover. Also some of the vocal harmonies were cool. Seemed a bit archaic sounding. Don't know if that's what you were going for but I definitely enjoyed the cover. Inspired me to check out the original. Which has awesome little ba doos. Or whatever you want to call them. The refrain perhaps?

How did you make it? This is good!

Re: Post Your Music!

Same key and BPM as imperial march. I just played around with noises till they sounded good. I used Fl studio and Sounds online's Composer cloud.

Re: Post Your Music!

Wow, I wish more Lego set reviews were this awesome. Please make more in the future!

Re: Post Your Music!

I took about a half hour to post another Tinnitis album on to Bandcamp: Fruit Punch from 2008.

https://tinnitis.bandcamp.com/album/fruit-punch

Highlights include:
- Kill Your TV (now being made into a brickfilm)
- I Love DVDs
- V.P.L. (did you know the theme from HOO 2 had lyrics?!!!  This is the originals song before vocals were removed for the
     episode.)
- Michael Bay Sucks
- The Breathing Cosbys

And my wife wrote the lyrics to "Voices" (track 2)

I hope you enjoy this album as much as I did nine years ago.  The Flime does Ty!

ALSO: If you listen to this, tell me what song(s) you hated the least, and what you liked about it/them

Re: Post Your Music!

No comments, huh?  I guess everyone's in stunned silence.

Anyway, around the time Hannah Montana Movie was out, I recorded this song: Hannah Montana's Driving Me Bananas.  There are several different mixes, but at the time I post this only the album version (The Smiley Iris Mix) is posted.

And if you missed Fruit Punch, or couldn't bear to listen to an entire Tinnitis album, here are highlights.  Pick one or two and enjoy!

I Love DVDs https://tinnitis.bandcamp.com/track/i-love-dvds

Re: Post Your Music!

Hello all, I'm back from the dead for two and a half seconds to bring you this little instrumental, which I originally produced for an iPhone game I'm working on, but decided it didn't fit the theme of the game well. It's a pretty upbeat tune. I've been told that it sounds like something you'd find in the intro to a comedy show (which I won't argue; I've found the same chord progression in several comedy shows). Feel free to use it wherever you like.

Re: Post Your Music!

Some of my 2010 album, The Year We Make Contact, was remastered and I'm posting them on Bandcamp.  There are two songs that are only available on the physical CD because they're song parodies, but the other 11 will be found here.

The first track, "Underground Bunker", features the Sheckies' guitarist, AndySocial, ad a guest musician.  An earlier mix appeared on the compilation album, Punk You Records: Vol. 1.  I hope you enjoy it.

Re: Post Your Music!

I've been posting more songs from the album.  Of all Tinnitis songs, this is among my favorites.  And although it's titled "Auto-Tune", no Auto-Tune was used in the making of the song!

Enjoy it if you possibly can!  Comments are welcome.

Re: Post Your Music!

Wow, incredible HOO! I really like the song. I am guilty of listening to artists with heavily processed auto-tuned vocals myself. mini/lol  I enjoy them though. But I definitely see your point, it's quite over-used. An interesting track. I actually had a question for you. Do you use hardware synths and drum machines for your tracks, or are they all software instruments? Also that project we discussed a while back, I'm ready to finish what we started. mini/wink

Re: Post Your Music!

Oh, thank you for the comment!  To answer your question: when I record I will either use real synths and sequencers (with drum machines), or virtual synths, or a mix.  If I recall, the synths in "Auto-Tune" are all virtual VST synths.  The blast sounds after the second chorus are samples from the classic 1980 video game "Berzerk".  I'll can tell you exactly which synths I used int he song when I pick up my CD with the liner notes.

And I'm thrilled that you're ready for the project!  I noticed the song got some attention on Bandcamp recently, so I wondered if you were the one "tune-ing" in.  Just email me any time.
