Re: The Screenplay Challenge

That's quite a deadline!  A typical challenge is two weeks.  Also, my net access is limited so I'm not online and briefly when so.  I didn't chk my email this week and either way, can't mail the prize till my computer is running to burn a dic!sc and print the cover. pls b patient!

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

I'll give this one a shot; and I think I'll have a great deal of fun writing a story with the theme Paradox!

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

Alright, here is my entry.  I hope you enjoy it.

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

cant enter yet as im without access to text editors for now... hopefully soon

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

Shall I give a few more weeks?

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

no, thats not fair to others that i get special treatment

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

Ok, so by default the winner is OneDouglas. A nice comic entry, I must say. Definitely a different take on paradox than I expected. I guess the only critique I have is that it lacks plot and is just a single joke short, but hey, what can one do in two pages?

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

I'm sorry that you weren't able to enter, HoldingOurOwn.  I originally had a much more interesting idea that I was going to write but I procrastinated and realized that I wouldn't be able to finish it in time.  So I quickly made something short and simple at the last minute.  The original idea was a story about personified paradoxes that are hunted by an agency trying to keep order.

Anyway, the new theme is......Against the Odds and the deadline is .........January 17th 2017

Happy screenwriting!

PS
The rules have been updated.

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

Would anyone like a longer deadline?

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

Yes... give it a few more days.  I just re-got my ability to type and I've been backing up files in that time.

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

Alright, the new deadline is January 29th 2017.

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

Okay.  i can do that!

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

I just found this thread and it seems like a lot of fun! I think I'll enter the next challenge.

This contest hasn't been active in a long time, but I always wished it was.  If there was more interest, I'll try to bring it back.  I think One Douglass had the last topic.

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

I'd be interested in trying it out!

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

That sounds great!

Is "that sounds great" the new topic? mini/tongue mini/smile

Possibly a whole script can be a bit daunting for people? Maybe just do one scene instead?

Smile and say hello to people. It costs you nothing and can brighten their day.

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

Maybe it an be mixed back and forth.  One Douglass, you had the last topic, yes?  And I think it was "for the greater good".

Re: The Screenplay Challenge

Alright, the Theme (unless people don't get any ideas with it) is For the Greater Good and the deadline is January 29th.

I think a scene would be fine.  One of my entries (https://www.dropbox.com/s/j218m9ritcmgq … ?dl=0]Loss) was basically one scene.
