Re: C922 / C920

There could be many reasons that light flicker is happening. Could you provide a screenshot or video as an example?

but this video does no thel me

Re: C922 / C920

If you could record a few seconds of animation with either of your cameras to show us what the light flicker looks like that would help a lot with figuring out what the problem is. I know of several things it could be, but without seeing what your video looks like it would take forever to nail down the issue.

Re: C922 / C920

What do you have gain set at? Having any amount of it could result in flicker.

Re: C922 / C920

I used to use a c920 and had horrible flicker I also did some tests and found a way to make it stop. The reason your getting flicker is is because you're webcams shutter speed is to fast and your iso (or gain) cannot go low enough. If your shutter speed is to fast it interferes with your light bulbs and creates light flicker. To fix this you need to either physically dim your lights (like a lot) or you need to use something like an neutral density filter (basically sunglasses for you camera) to cut down the light, allowing lower shutter speed.  I used a cheep set of nd filters ($15) off amazon and it worked like a charm. just sticky tacked them to the front of the camera.

Well there are settings for the NA and EU hertz amounts of lights in lws, do those help with this thing?
Also if all else fails you can try this- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aV09Jzt1tTU (though not going to fix 100% of shots)

Re: C922 / C920

Usually the banding (the type of flicker you have) goes away at high exposures on the webcam. I have it heavily when I shoot at a low exposure. Also, LED bulbs can sometimes cause the banding issues.

This really does help, thanks!

I might try adding another, since I'm still getting a little of the effect on close ups. I wonder what a polarizer might do?
