Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm interested in getting into it, and I'm wondering if I really need the whole set, or which parts are worth buying separately, and what I would absolutely need to do something functional like a motion control rig.
I've heard of people using Mindstorms, but I'm not sure if any of them were successful. Have you looked into LEGO Power Functions? That has motors and stuff (not a computer controller though). I guess I'm really no help because I've never used Mindstorms before...
