D.C.: Episode 1: The Golden Standard

Youtube

"D.C." takes place after a civil revolt and the only branch of the American government left is the legislative. General Julian Kascier and General Marc Anthony are overseas dealing with terrorists. Meanwhile, Senator Cato and his allies are trying to curry favor with the people and General Pompey Magnius against the war. But when Officer Lucas Vorenus and Private Titus Pullo are thrown into the mix, everybody needs to adapt their plans if they want to win.

"D.C." was inspired by HBO's television series "Rome". Both "Rome" and "D.C." deal with Julius Caesar's ascent to power.

Re: D.C.: Episode 1: The Golden Standard

The story was OK. The animation was average. There was some set/camera bump, and light flicker. The Audio was nice and clear.

I liked the Arab's joke "I'm afraid that Allah is not on my side, I must surrender". That was funneh schtuffs.

"actuallly this involves spiderman too, not batman. but im also taking a new approach, more comedy, less action. i dont see to many movies like that with more comedy than action" --SteveStarfyTV on an Indiana Jones meets Star Wars idea.

Re: D.C.: Episode 1: The Golden Standard

Thanks fib12345.:) I know there were some camera bumps because I don't have the best tripod. My next brickfilm will be 15fps instead of 8 like "D.C." And as for the story, it's the 1st in the series so i know it would be a bit hard to understand in the beginning, especially if you are not into Ancient Rome or watch the television series. For the audio, i thought it wasn't very good cause I usually use better sound equipment. Glad you liked Verjabreem's line.(terrorist)

Re: D.C.: Episode 1: The Golden Standard

That looked very good for 8 FPS. Instead of gettin a better tripod, use a camera with Remote Capture. There are some very good webcams out there. I happen to use the Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000, which is regarded as the best webcam for brickfilming. A better option is something in the Canon Powershot Series. They're more expensive, but better quality.

Please tell me: What camera do you use? Frame Compilation? Editing?

Re: D.C.: Episode 1: The Golden Standard

I use an Olympus Digital Camera D-550 Zoom 3.0 megapixel. I use Sony Vegas 6.0, sometimes Vegas pro 8. as for the frame compilation, I shorten the pics to the frame I need. I know there is probably an easier way, but I can't find it if there is.:P
