Those are good emoticons, Sean. Now you need to make one shaking its marracas like on bf. ![]()
To be honest, the old ones look innocent and cute. That's why I like them. The new ones look a little stale.

But the old ones are too simplistic. I think we should go realistic

They look nice (the ones Sean made), but I much prefer the older ones. They have a certain charm to them that I like. ![]()

You think so? I feel they're a LOT closer to the actual Lego colour than the older ones... Blunty's look way too bright to me. The heads in the site logo are more orange than my emotes.
I just got up, and I'll get to work on some of the suggested/mentioned emotes. I hope you guys don't mind if I recreate some of the ones you made.
I still think their foreheads are a little too big... or maybe their eyes and mouths are too low?
I agree, it looks better if one more line of pixels is trimmed off of the middle part of the head. (Above the eyes)
Yeah, it's not as correct, but I think the reason it looks awkward for a smiley as it stands now is because the lack of hair leaves a lot of empty space up top. The eyes on the old emoticons, by contrast, are pretty close to the top.
Aye, trimming would help. I also think the mouths on a few of the emoticons should be narrowed. The mouth on the new smile is two pixels wider than the old one, which wouldn't seem to make much of a difference but to me takes the innocence off of it.
Just in case anyone wants to consider a third option ...

Orly? The old ones are way to yellow. The newer ones show lighting. As brickfilmers, we can probably all create the proper lighting to give a minifig head that kind of shine and stuff, but we could never achieve the old yellow. Bright yellow, yet no light? We'd need to get painting!

@ Sean: Hmmm, true. I was striving for more cartoonish expressions. I like emotes that make me laugh. ![]()
