Um, didn't lego already have this idea? Cuusoo is to give TLG ideas for sets they want to make. TLG would have made the pods a set if they wanted to.

Yeah, some people put some stuff up just to get 10,000 supporters even though they lego will not make it into a set. Its just cool if you get to 10,000

Nah,i don't like it,if you want LEGO to start making 1800's stuff,then MAKE something from the 1800's.

The I was reminded of War of the Worlds when I first saw the tripod walker from Alien Conquest, but I think if you go with an organic look like on the cover it'll be pretty new and fresh.

On the cover of the book the tripods look similar to the landstriders from "The Dark Crystal." Topit's word is perfect-organic. Very useful and cool when you achieve "this doesn't look like Lego."
