Re: Lego Ideas (formerly Cuusoo)

I recently saw this on the Minecraft forums.

LEGO® and Minecraft - Together?

LEGO® is working on an exciting new project, LEGO® CUUSOO - and Mojang is getting in on it! The idea behind the project is simple - come up with an idea for a LEGO® model and submit it to the project. If entrants get 10,000 or more supporters of their idea, then it has a chance of becoming a full-fledged LEGO® product! Mojang has entered into this project, and you can support them - head over to the site, sign up, and vote for Mojang - and we may begin to see authentic Minecraft-themed LEGO® sets in the near future! Mojang noted that they have included a number of LEGO® enthusiasts to design sets with them, and are interested in seeing yours as well! Supporters with great ideas may be invited to join them in their collaborative efforts, to be a part of their efforts.

Seeing LEGO Minecraft sets is also our dream, so we linked to one of the projects. It’s clear to us that there are many creative people with good ideas for this and we want to throw our own hat into the ring and start this project to bring the best LEGO Minecraft builders together.

What do you think? mini/bigsmile

Re: Lego Ideas (formerly Cuusoo)

Here is another thread that is talking about this: http://www.flickr.com/groups/lego/discu … 013731386/ I definetly say NO!

Re: Lego Ideas (formerly Cuusoo)

I don't see much of a point to Minecraft LEGO... adapting a building block game to differently-styled building blocks isn't appealing to me. What would the sets look like? How would LEGO mimic the cubic dimensions of the game?

Re: Lego Ideas (formerly Cuusoo)

I have to agree with Jargon. The original unthemed LEGO boxes with a lot of different pieces would be the same as LEGO Minecraft because you are able to build anything you like.

Re: Lego Ideas (formerly Cuusoo)

I figured it would be models from the game, like assembling a model of a sword or pickax.

Alright,new project:

Re: Lego Ideas (formerly Cuusoo)

Isn't Cuusoo opposed to Give TLG new Ideas
this is just a new idea for Ninjago, and we haven't even started the next one! mini/eek
it doesn't seem like a bad Idea really but Lego would need to make some cool ninja trolls, not the old castle ones. mini/bigsmile

I really need to take a closer look at this and maby get a Cuusso profile

Re: Lego Ideas (formerly Cuusoo)

I agree with Jargon, and don't see much of a purpose to LEGO minecraft. I'd mainly buy the set(s) for the lego pieces. The set doesn't seem fantastic in my opinion, but with a few bits of "remodeling", I can achieve a wonderful set! Haha.

Re: Lego Ideas (formerly Cuusoo)

I know it's already been done,but i actually build a model:

Get out. NOW.

The Legend of Zelda would be pretty cool in Lego though.

Re: Lego Ideas (formerly Cuusoo)

Dragon slayers
Not my project, but it is a theme where "Dragon slayers" have to slay Dragons and other mythical creatures.
This project will do good, because "Reptiman" has even put up set ideas,3 waves(3d got erased when he put up a set picture).
He has developed a storyline(dragon king, the dragon knights, how they have to defend the king,etc.).
I have been a very big help on his project(given some set ideas, put up links to his projects,etc.).
I hope you guys support him!
