When I use them they show up as.:) mini/blankexpression mini/sad mini/bigsmile mini/eek mini/wink ect.

Was that constructive critisism?

That's actually supposed to happen, but if you want to turn them off, just go to "Profile" at the top of the page, go into the Settings tab, find "Show smilies as graphic icons," and uncheck it.

Firstly, make sure smilies are enabled on your account, as Littlebrick said. Secondly, make sure to include spaces in between the words and the accompanying smiley, and between additional smilies.

Lastly, in your original post, I can see the smilies just fine.
