Topic: Brickfilm Wiki

So as most of you probably already have discovered, there are things called wikis which are like wikipedia on a certain subject. And yesterday in my roaming of the internet I found this http://legobrickfilm.wikia.com/wiki/LEGO_Brickfilm_Wiki
My thinking is we can take this out of disrepair and make it the ultimate brickfilm database! So, what do you peoples think?

EDIT: Here's whats the community decided on http://brickfilming.wikia.com/wiki/Brickfilming_Wiki

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

I have no qualms with a community-run wiki, although they've been created in the past and usually die off with time. In a small community the potential for longstanding inaccuracies is higher than for a global wiki, I think. For example, the front page of the one in your post claims that The Package II is the longest brickfilm; I'm fairly certain The Great Disturbance was significantly longer. Still, I wouldn't mind seeing the idea take off if people want to put effort into maintaining it.

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

You are right, as The Great Disturbance ran over 70 minutes. That's still not the longest brickfilm, though. I've heard rumors about a 3-4 hour long one, but I've never actually seen it.

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

Going off-topic a bit here, but do you happen to know the title of the three hour long film? I don't think I've ever heard mention of it.

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

I do remember seeing a brickfilm back in '08 that was 2 hours long. This was back when YouTube had a video length limit. So I watched it on Google Videos. I believe it was a LEGO Star Wars brickfilm.

I don't. I believe the guy never actually uploaded it anywhere, but sold DVDs of it.

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

Hmm, I can't recall or seem to find the title, but if I remember correctly, it was the source of RevMen's "carpet sword" signature quote.

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

Ah this reminds me of a project I started 2 years ago and forgot about: http://brickfilmers.wikia.com . Well the funny thing is that I rediscovered it yesterday and was cleaning it up! It seems someone beat me to it with creating a Brick filming wiki

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

To add to the really long brickfilms list, minitrue's "Our Lego Batman Adventure" reached right about 50 minutes.

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

I'm already working on repairing it!

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

Who is the admin to the wiki? The layout really needs some improvements, and I would like to contact whoever can make those changes.
Nevermind, it is Jurassicbrick. I contacted, and I hope I can become an admin so I can clean up the site. mini/confused

I'm going to contact him too.

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

JurassicBrick seems to be an active member on Eurobricks, but I don't know if he keeps up with his Brickfilm Wiki anymore.

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

I have applied for adoption of the wiki

EDIT: Nevermind.

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

I noticed they had 94 pages, and the featured article for August is a ForrestFire film. Oh dear, this site needs urgent maintenance. I know wikis should be unbiased, but I don't think individual films are a priority.

I don't make Brickfilms. I trade virtual hats.

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

This is motivating me to get an account on Wikia. mini/tongue
I would love to contribute as much as I can.

I second this. We could here forever if we tried to list enough individual films to be fair to all. So no matter how much I'd like to see a 'Small World' article we need to focus on things like technique.

Re: Brickfilm Wiki

May we edit any spelling/grammar mistakes(if we are absolutely sure of them)?
Just because I can see a few there.
Edit: Why is there a picture of a cat in the gallery?!
