Topic: The Sales Pitch

A car dealer pitches a brand new luxury model to a potential customer. Hilarity ensues.

YouTube HD

This is pretty much the result of a release of severe anxiousness to do something with my new Canon HV30, having had it for well over a month and done nothing official with it. Which might explain its notable lack of sense-making.

Re: The Sales Pitch

I'm waiting for it to buffer, but the quality is superb!
Well, that wasn't what i expected, but still great. Were the faces digital?

Re: The Sales Pitch

Ah I see now.

The HV30 is great, and great compression, the quality was good even when it wasn't in HD, I think YouTube is getting better...
Good job man, look forward to your future stuff with your new camera.

Re: The Sales Pitch

haha really funny, great animation.
Only there was this cameraman logo on the back of the car dealers t-shirt.

Re: The Sales Pitch

Holy poop, that was good. Great ending.

Also, lovin' that set. I am green with jealous rage over all those transparent bricks you have.

Re: The Sales Pitch

I didn't get it, but that's what makes it funny. The animation when he smashed the sales man in the car was perfect.

I agree with you, KG. I'm jealous because of your transparent bricks.

EDIT: I found a small flaw in this film. At 0:28 the sales man points at the car, and when it shows the other guy he is stainding normal and looking at the guy. Then at 0:33 he's pointing at the car and then back to the guy.

My old YouTube is since long ago defunct - now even removed.
Here is my new one.

Re: The Sales Pitch

Meh, I don't like it so much. You need to work on editing (those pauses were too long IMO) and generally on getting more well-rounded stories.

Re: The Sales Pitch

Haha, I liked it. You finally used the Cafe Corner in a film now too. mini/smile

Re: The Sales Pitch

The animation and sets were great (as usual), but the one thing that I spotted was continuity (or lack of it). In one shot, the salesman would be turned on one foot and have his arms up a bit, but switch to the shot with the buyer and he's standing straight again. Otherwise, I like it.

You never disappoint, MindGame.

Re: The Sales Pitch

Great animation, nice sets, good face animation, awesome comedy mini/lol .

You can always spot something wrong, Hazzat.

Re: The Sales Pitch

I thought the animation and quality was brilliant, but I didn't really get the ending.

Re: The Sales Pitch

I didn't understand the whole thing... BUT the animation was incredibly smooth, the last scene looked really good as well.

Re: The Sales Pitch

That was great. Animation and sets were well designed. A rather puzzling storyline to follow though.

Re: The Sales Pitch

Eh, I didn't think it was that funny, but I liked when the guy slammed the salesman's head into the car (including the camera movement). Your new Canon camera has very good quality, and you should use it in your future films. Good job.

Re: The Sales Pitch

It looks nice visually, though the joke and timing fell flat for me as well.  I didn't feel like the salesman's slight intrusion really justified the extreme awkward pause.
