Call for Feature Screenplays

In the spirit of our commitment to the development of screenwriters worldwide, the BlueCat Screenplay Competition holds a longstanding tradition of giving written notes to every screenplay submitted. Each Feature screenplay entered receives two analyses, while each Short screenplay receives one.

All Feature Screenplay submissions received by August 1st will receive their feedback by September 1st. ($60 entry fee)


Best Feature Screenplay $15,000 Grand Prize; Four Finalists $2500

Best Short Screenplay $10,000 Grand Prize; Three Finalists $1500

Best UK Feature Screenplay $1500 Prize

Best International Feature Screenplay $1500

Best Movie Title: Three Winners $250 each

Hey, this is pretty cool. I have a few screenplays I'm workin on, maybe this can serve to get me motivated to finish then!! >:D

I suck at screenplays mini/sad ...it's why I allow my voice actors to do a bunch of improv as long as it sticks to the plot...

MOVIE TITLE CONTEST DEADLINE AUGUST 1


In the spirit of our commitment to the development of screenwriters worldwide, the BlueCat Screenplay Competition holds a longstanding tradition of giving written notes to every screenplay submitted. Each Feature screenplay entered receives two analyses, while each Short screenplay receives one.

All Screenplays submitted by August 1st will receive their feedback by September 1st. ($60 features, $40 shorts) 

All screenplays entered by August 1st, 2013 will be automatically entered in our Movie Title Contest. Three winners will be determined by the votes of current 2014 BlueCat entrants and awarded $250 each.

The 2014 BlueCat Screenplay Competition is now accepting short screenplay submissions! This year’s competition will award a Grand Prize of $10,000 for Best Short Screenplay - the world’s largest cash prize for shorts.

2014 BlueCat Screenplay Competition
Regular Deadline: Tuesday, October 15th 2013
Shorts - $50 ($29 for students)

The BlueCat Screenplay Competition dedicates itself to the development of screenwriters worldwide and we are proud to continue our tradition of giving written feedback to all screenplay submissions - all shorts will receive a written analysis from our readers.

Short Screenplays submitted by our October 15th deadline will receive feedback by November 10th.  Writers will have the opportunity to rewrite their shorts and resubmit before our final deadline on November 15th.

Short Screenplays submitted after October 15th will receive their feedback by March 1st, 2014.  These shorts will not be eligible for resubmission. Entry fees will increase after the October 15th deadline to $60.

THE AWARDS

• Best Feature Screenplay - $15,000 USD Grand Prize;
Four Finalists will receive $2,500 USD

• Best Short Screenplay - $10,000 USD Grand Prize;
Three Finalists will receive $1,500 USD

• The Cordelia Award for Best UK Feature Screenplay - $1,500 USD Prize

• The Joplin Award for Best International Feature Screenplay - $1,500 USD Prize
