I've thought of a solution which might make this work better for my camera: Rather than moving the wedge toward the camera holder, i could move the camera to the wedge. If the henge is placed correctly, the backwards movement might be compensated by the forward motion of the rig, thus keeping it more centralized. I'm need to do some tests and tweaking, though.
