I'd love to try these, but I really don't want to break apart my only polar bear. Still, these are awesome.

Re: The Sets, Props and Figs Inspiration Thread

Oh man, those are great. Do you know the creator, by any chance, jampot?

Re: The Sets, Props and Figs Inspiration Thread

Indeed i do. They're amongst my fave ever MOCers, Sean and Steph Mayo: https://www.flickr.com/photos/legocy/

Check out their faery forest stuff. Inspirational is too weak a word to describe their MOCs.

Re: The Sets, Props and Figs Inspiration Thread

Now this is a temple. I'd love to make something like this for a brickfilm, but I don't have even remotely enough parts.

Re: The Sets, Props and Figs Inspiration Thread

That would also be a pretty pain to animate in. I love the design, though.

Re: The Sets, Props and Figs Inspiration Thread

Yeah, that would be death to animate.

Re: The Sets, Props and Figs Inspiration Thread

If I was animating it, I'd make it so you could take out foreground and background elements and then put them back in in post

Re: The Sets, Props and Figs Inspiration Thread

Very cool beasts, Jampot.  They remind me of ?Battle Beasts toys of the 1980s, which had a rock paper scissors type game that could be played with heat sensitive rub symbols.  Believe it or not, they were conceived as a spin-off of Transformers!  They are featured in the HEADMASTERS Japan-only TV season, which is available in the USA on DVD with subtitles (something I thought I'd never see!)

Re: The Sets, Props and Figs Inspiration Thread

Das bump.

Oh man.

I've never played BioShock before, but this makes me really want to try it out (well, that and it's apparently got lots of Art Deco Dieselpunk style stuff, which I love).

I really like some of the architectural details and the scale is impressive.  Having said that, it does look a tiny bit bland as it's mainly just grey, but the positive still outweighs the negative.

Re: The Sets, Props and Figs Inspiration Thread

BioShock Infinite is a lot more colourful, don't worry. You should totally play it.

Re: The Sets, Props and Figs Inspiration Thread

I was more referring to the MOC itself in this case, rather than the game as a whole.

I really want to try it out, but I don't own any games consoles.  I assume you could play it on PC though?
