I'd like to participate in this.
I'm working on a logo of sorts right now, and have a pretty good idea what I'd like the terrain and all that to be. Seeing as there's at least seven people already ahead of me, I'll be ready by the time it'd be my turn.
This sounds like fun, even though I know almost nothing about GoT (though according to my classmates it is apparently "one of those shows you don't watch with your parents") and my logo is something of a WIP. Plus I'm not really much of an established Brickfilmer.
Also, is Jonn a mod now too?
Do you have a spacecraft/satellite in mind? The idea is for whatever it is to transform into your studio name or at least reveal your studio name. What shape does it have? Cylindrical, spherical (Death Star?), complex? I'm thinking a space station. Any additional elements that says "OneDouglas Studios"
Complex if it isn't to difficult to render. Sort of like the ISS. It could unfold giant paneling with a robot arm to reveal the name.
@Lucas and @ nltwn: Will need more details from you guys, especially if it's just text. What speaks your studio name? What mini-city and environment says LM or ONEDOUGLAS Studios?
Well I first wanted to hear if the logo was good or fitting enough to be used. If it is I'll figure out some kind of environment...
Also, is Jonn a mod now too?
Yeah, I am.
Its mature content has deterred some of you from joining, even if it's just a parody of the title sequence, and I completely understand if you don't want to associate your name/brand with Game of Thrones.
Oh, that wasn't what I mean. Speaking for myself, I'm OK with mature content if it's justified and there's a reason for it and even like some films/shows that have a lot of mature content (for example, I've seen the entirety of Breaking Bad). (I personally don't like films/shows that use mature content to be "cool" or "funny" and just use it for the sake of using it, e.g. The Dictator, but that's a topic for another day...) What I really meant was that since I'm not familiar with Game of Thrones I'm probably not the ideal candidate for this enterprise, but I'd still love to join if there's space left.
@Lucas: Essentially, I can work with text logos, it'll just require more creativity with the transforming city. Something that says "Lucas".
@FlyingMinifig: Of course you can still join.
To everyone, if we get to like 10 Houses or more, it may come down to public voting to determine the top 5-8 Houses to be included for Brickcon. Some Houses will be locked in for inclusion, though, either because you're a big name/brand or you and another logo work well together in a sequence (currently combining Jampot, KB Videos, and OneDouglas). Outside of Brickcon, you'll still get your video and you'll still be included in an all-inclusive montage.
OK then! Here's my logo. As I said before, it's something of a WIP, and I imagine it might be difficult to incorporate seeing as it's not very "mechanical-looking".
Maybe Mr. Vertigo could be some sort of giant statue-type thing that could be slowly built up?
Also, I would preferably like to be known as "House Vertigo". (I still need to change my YouTube Channel and BiM username... )
I'm thinking a sort of steampunk mechanical contraption, as I think it would fit and it's also similar to the actual GoT opening. It could be a type of scaffolding with cogs and gears that builds up as the statue rises, then falls away to reveal the completed statue.
And a somewhat mysterious design that looks part ancient civilization, part futuristic, if that makes sense--involving a penrose triangle (or some such optical illusion). And maybe throw in a skull somewhere. Also perhaps a spiral-ey thing as well--though the latter may be pretty close to a maze. I'm not sure if this is making a lot of sense, as it's off the top of my head, so sorry if it's a bit vague.
(For the record, Mr Vertigo is basically an eccentric wizard from another dimension, which is why he's sort of a mashup of different themes/concepts.)
I'll see what I can do with what you've written but as you can tell by the list of names, I got a couple of studios to work on first. In that time, feel free to send me sketches or pics of mock sets for visual aide.
Of course, I understand completely. I'll see, I might do something.

Yeah, I am.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention, congratulations!
(By the way, is it just me, or are there suddenly a lot of new mods around?)
This is something that I've tossed around for a long time, but never got around to it.
The general idea would be A 'dew drop' rolling down a Lego leaf.
A round clear Lego brick that rolls off the leaf.
The part that I've often debated is whether the Lego leaf should start out as a sketch or a pencil line.
Kinda like animation process: idea…(written/sketched)….building the idea in Lego….then animating.
I'd be interested in joining. If you'd be okay with this, what kind of format would you want my logo to be sent in? Anything else I need to know?
My profile picture is actually my logo. Don't know if it's too small or not.
This seems cool. I should make a logo, though.
