Re: Show off a Frame!

I've nearly finished animating my first Scooby-Doo brickfilm; it should be up on Sunday or Monday. This first one is only short, but I'll be hard at work on some longer ones soon too. I'd love to post a clip as I'm really proud of this so far, but with my bandwidth usage limits I can't really afford to. It won't be a long wait anyway.

As ever, I love my strip LEDs, aside from the linear reflection they leave around the minfigure's jawline, but there's nowt I can do about that.

EDIT: Across the wave, Shaggy has four different expressions, which is really useful for animation. I think I use all four in this one.

Re: Show off a Frame!

Jampot thats really awesome man I absolutely love the lighting in these shots, and the bus is almost a perfect copy of the original which is really nice, I haven't seen any scooby doo lego sets I'd be intrigued to see them in flesh! haha.

Heres a frame I did while shooting for my new film Brick Fiction.

Any feedback is most welcomed mini/smile

Re: Show off a Frame!

I like the lighting coming through the windows, seems like sunrise on a winters morning. If you were going to restart the project I would suggest you tone down the lighting on the inside as it seems quite bright for what it should be but great lighting on the outside though.

I animated this frame with the earth rotating in the reflection of the spaceman's visor, but never found a place to put it in my film. Thus, I thought I'd use it for a promo for Sola Luna instead. Enjoy.

Re: Show off a Frame!

Just now noticed the earth reflection on the space man's helmet Rioforce, beautiful!

Re: Show off a Frame!

Yes. Rioforce's looks pretty amazing. I look forward to seeing it!

Re: Show off a Frame!

A bit late, but:

Jampot, I really dig the lighting and texture in those images. something about the green light combined with the colors of the van looks really nice.

Divine, the set seems nice. I do think it might benefit from a lower camera angle depending on the context; generally these kinds of shots look more natural when the camera is at the eye level of the minifigs.

The light through the window is really nice in the 'Stolen' frame, Heliumbrick.

Here's a frame from what I'm working on with Nathan Wells (and MindGame on weekends!), the animated segments for the documentary.  We're streaming our progress live, here's the details on that.

Re: Show off a Frame!

The plexi-glass streaks were noticeable to me at first glace, but other than that i think the frame is pretty sick!

That is so incredibly awesome, I want to do that trick some day. I can't wait to see these bricks in motion. mini/tongue

Stunning

Re: Show off a Frame!

It is amazing how much depth the plexi-glass gives the frame. Is there a picture without the plexi-glass for comparison?
