Topic: Where to buy minifig heads in bulk?

I'm quite happy with my minifigure collection, especially my pants and torsos. However, I feel that I lack a decent range of facial expresions to choose from for brickfilming. I know there are a lot of faces to choose from, so I would rather have access to more physical faces than having to add a face in post to animate it. I feel it will look nicer if it is physically there. Has anyone got any idea if there is a way to purchase bulk head lots, with various heads, and possibly some unique ones as well?

I had a quick look, and they all seem to be a minifigure lot, and I don't think I'm at the point to buy the whole minifigures just for the head. I guess the other fear I have with ebay, is that the heads available there are usually rather ordinary.

This is my current head collection, except my coloured heads and a few others that are in use. It does look like a bit, but I have a lot of multiples.

I think I might try bricklink, but it seams like a lot of work to sort through the listings to find some heads I'd like. Does anyone know any BL sellers with a range of heads?

JonnDthunDer has a link to a piece of software (PC-only) that analyses your Wanted List and tells you which Bricklink stores have the most items from your list. I don't have the link myself and can't remember which thread he posted it in so you'd probably be better off asking him for it. I'm sorry I can't be of more help; if I have time this evening, I'll have a search around and try to find the link for you.

I believe the software you're referring to is Brickficiency?  Rioforce gave me the link a while back.  I tried using it when placing my first and so far only order, though I couldn't really get it to work (not that it particularly mattered in my case, as I was looking for some pretty specific bricks and found a store with most of the ones I wanted pretty easily).

That's the one! I've never had the chance to give it a go myself, as I'm in an all-Mac household.

I don't know anything about that software, but if you're looking to search for shops that have the most items on your wanted list, you can do it directly from Bricklink. Just click the "Wanted" tab, and below that, select "By Shop". From there, you can even select a particular wanted list, which I imagine would be a big help for your purposes. Of course, that is assuming that you already have a list of heads that you particularly want. With the new Bricklink features, which include grouping pieces by family, there's probably an easy way to create a wanted list that just asks for heads in general.

You could go to the LEGO Store if you have one nearby. They usually have a bin of heads, unless they require that you make a minifig to purchase it.
