A combination of the two would be an interesting idea.
Oh, my post was just a joke. But, that would be pretty cool.
I still think clones would be interesting, and I'm not talking about Star Wars clones. I think the whole idea of cloning is a good field for stories. The word clone is too closely associated to Star Wars these days. The hard part for me would be finding the pieces to make two figures the same, while still having a decent character design.

This theme needs to happen.

The gun flare idea was done fairly recently, I'm not sure about explosions though. If that hasn't been done I'd be up for it!
