I used a feature in iStopmotion called rotoscoping, which allowed me to compare my live footage with the original, like this. I wouldn't have been able to make this movie without it.
I tried to replicate each shot exactly. For proof, watch the orignal clip here.

That's cool, though I would have liked to see more. Maybe you could try to use the concept, and then record your own jokes. I spent all of last semester doing improv in drama class; it's fun.
