Topic: Staying with something

Okay so i always think of something to animate
Just like a little story to put on my channel
But I usually get the first scene done then get discouraged and quit the whole story
Any suggestions on what to do to keep with one project and stay with it

What I do. Get a Yoga Ball. Keep on bouncing it and the whole film will come clear to you, and I quickly jump to animating scene after scene. mini/smile

Re: Staying with something

Well unfortunatley I do not own a yoga ball to use at my convenience but hanks for your input

I'm stuck in a similar rut right now. Just force yourself to work at it. Make sure you've actually worked out the whole story beforehand too.

Blue tack is a brilliant yoga ball. I did what KinzCove suggested while I was doing my piano and it made me really happy! mini/smile

Re: Staying with something

What I do ..Because I get this a lot of times.. is do the scene and once you get tired of it or discouraged then take a few hours off and do something fun. Then come back and work it out.

It helps me...

When I feel discouraged, I actually play Half-Life 2. It really helps me to do stuff like the Guns N' Roses song Chinese Democracy inspires me do action stuff.

Re: Staying with something

The only time I can make a good long film is if I've made a script beforehand. Otherwise, you add-lib the whole thing and you end up not liking some things afterwards. Try creating a complete script for the story you're creating so you don't have to go at it all in one go.

Re: Staying with something

Listen to some old Guns n roses, it's much better mini/smile.

Anyway I get this feeling a lot. I just try to counter it by thinking, I'd be wasting my voice actors time if i don't finish this or, that'll be a month work wasted, or something along those lines. Just try to lift your spirits, but if you not enjoying filming then it'll become a waste of time, as you won't do the best of your ability.
