Those frames were actually GEF's. But, I do agree; nice job on the lighting!

Have you seen a big-chinned boy?

Hey TOpit, don't become a stranger to BiM because you're not animating!  Rockydude 411 Bricks: yes, that it is a police station!

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

It's nice to see so many people posting frames from brickfilms.  It's great that lots of people are making stuff.

Anyway, here's a frame from my upcoming film:

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

It's a frame within a frame... mini/eek

Anyway, like the design; looks great.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

It's actually not an image that I'm using in the film itself, but it's a LEGO picture frame which I built for the film.
This would usually go in the sets and props thread, but I thought I'd make a joke on the title of this thread.
He he

I'm working on taking a picture to be put into the frame.  My brother possesses the ability to paint rather amazing copies of photos, and he can fit detail into small areas, so he's planning to make a tiny detailed painting of the LEGO picture and I'm going to put it into the frame.
I'm actually going to have two paintings.  Any ideas for what should be in the second?

Mr. Munchy, Sir Squid, a brick separator?

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

A brick separator: Salvador Dalego's finest work, a comment on the fickleness of life.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

I already have Munchy's cameo planned elsewhere in the film.
I'm thinking more something that looks old styled and slightly creepy.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Squid, this is looking pretty awesome! I don't normally like black and white films but this looks like it will be pretty good. Keep it up!:)

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Squid, how about Basil the Batlord? Holding a classic lego sword and against a fiery orange background, I think he'd look pretty creepy.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

oh my god squid that is beautiful

so I exported my film and I did it wrong (forgot to convert a file beforehand) and so a lot of frames look SUPER softgrunge and glitchy or whatever obvserve

I'm not gonna include that in the final film because it's hard to watch but it looks so cool that I want to use that as like promo pictures because it's pretty neat and capricious

I'll be posting subsequent thingies on this tag

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Looks fairly euphoric.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Ooooh, that second picture is really pretty. Only use them as promo pictures if they go with the theme and atmosphere of the film though.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Oh yeah, don't worry about this. The film will be the soft-grungiest thing you'll ever have seen.

That's actually a pretty great idea, though, having flames might not be the best go since something about them looks significantly less impressive in greyscale despite the fact that I love having flames in stuff.  The orange hue is a very important part of what makes them look cool.

I do have Batlord helmet, though old and slightly damaged, and with it I can make a reasonably close approximation of Lord Basil but with a different torso, though it is still in a classic medieval style.  I've put his bat scepter in one hand and his chrome sword in the other, which looks decently cool.
I could keep the alternate torso printing I have substituted for the original, or I could potentially just have Wilson paint his rendition of it with the original printing.
Not sure what background I'll be using for it yet though.

AniMax: I'm about to watch the film, but that frame looks really good. It has a great atmosphere.
Cooked Cat: That was awesome! I loved the lighting so much. The only problem was that it was a bit too fast-paced. You can post tests in the 'Post your WIP/Test!' topic.
