He looks weird.
B******s (great, I've been reduced to swearing). Age doesn't come into it. Most people were harping on about how not casting a black Doctor or a female Doctor was discriminatory, and saying a person isn't suitable for the role because of their age isn't? The guy doesn't even look that young, if anything Tennant looks younger than him.
Honestly, we haven't even seen him in the role yet and people are writing him off. They obviously saw something in him at the audition, and I say good on Matt for taking a chance and going for it considering all the furore about "the next Doctor being older".
Reserve your judgement until you see him in action, you may be pleasantly surprised.

After seeing that interview, he seems a bit better for the role. I thought he'd sound like an emo.

The Doctor bounds around the Universe, there appears to be no end to his power and, even though he claims to be saving people, he has killed lots (many of those in fiery explosions!).
Villain? Nah, he's the Doctor. Just the Doctor.
I think Matt is quite a good choice, it took a while for me to get used to Tennant after Eccleston, I guess it'll be the same sort of thing for him. It seems like forever since Doctor Who's been on.

Well look at it this way, at least it wasn't James Nesbitt (because I'm more than a little scared of him after Jekyll) or that guy from Twilight.
Jekyll was awesome, and James Nesbitt was brilliant in it, you gotta admit.
And Matt Smith looks creepy because his eyebrows are the same color as his skin.
It'll be really hard for him to step up to the the role of Doctor Who, especially after David Tennant, and ESPECIALLY with eyebrows the same color as his skin (lol), but seeing as he was chosen for the role, maybe he'll be a good Doctor.
Don't just reject him because he looks funny, or he's too young, when you don't know if he's gonna be a good or not.

Ah, that explains it, been trying to put my finger on it for the past couple of weeks. It's like what happened to my mate Daniel one New Year's - he'd fallen asleep after getting drunk and one of his friends thought it'd be funny to shave his eyebrows off. It took us a while to figure out what was odd about him when we met up again.

I've recently "gotten into" Doctor Who.
I haven't seen any of the previous series, just Series 4. Though, I can say that I like David Tennant for the role of the Doctor VERY good.
Should be interesting to see Matt Smith as the Doctor.
