So my tripod is unstable (not to the extreme, it is kind of stable) but i want to make it actually very stable with little camera movement. Plus, my camera does not come with a remote.
Suggestions?
Umm. Isn't the point of tripods that they're stable? Anyways, If the problem is that pressing the shutter shakes the camera you should download a frame capture program and plug in your camera. It really helped for me!

Are you filming on hard wood floor (or something hard), or are you on carpet? If you're on carpet, then that's your problem. And if you can't film on a hard place, use mcoov's advice above.

Oof. Um.. well, if you're already on hard wood and your tripod is unstable, then you need a better tripod. Are you taking pictures manually or is your camera hooked up to your computer? Because taking pictures manually usually results in unnecessary camera movements. I suuggest using a remote capture program like AnimatorDV or HeliumFrog.

hang a heavy weight from from the tripod, positioned so its directly below the head. This increases the overall mass and make for a more stable tripod.
With all decent pro tripods, the heavier they are, the more stable they tend to be.
