Topic: Punch test

I was never quite satisfied with the method of animating a punch that has been adopted by most animators, so I decided to try out a different approach. Here's the result:

Re: Punch test

That was outstanding!

I think you should make a boxing film with those sorta punches.

Re: Punch test

Love the castle in the background! Anyway, that't actually pretty realistic! I'll try that in my next brickfight.

Re: Punch test

Thanks guys, the castle was a miniscale one I'd built a while a go which I felt like sticking in the background. Glad you like it!

A boxing film isn't currently in my list of projects, but it's a possibility. This was partially made as a warm up to my Ninja vs Zombies epic trilogy coming next year sometime hopefully.

Re: Punch test

The punches were so smooth and i liked how you slowed it down.
Ninja vs Zombies?  That sounds epicly awesome

Re: Punch test

Ah, I once did a test like this using Woody's extra long arms from the Toy Story line.

So here's the thing, I've A: Lost interest, and B: have no time to animate anymore. Expect little from me in the future. WIP projects have been pretty much abandoned and my LEGO collection is boxed up. No, you can't have it. mini/tongue But do not fear, I may return to it one day.
