I could do a simple tutorial on sound editing with Audacity, as many newbies have fuzz and noise etc. in their films.

But that is due to crappy microphones and audacity can't really solve most noob's problems.
They just need a new mic.

Nah sometimes good mics get sound no some clips, and most newbs don't have that good mics anyway, and don't plan on investing in one.
Yeah, but that sounds pretty awful most of the time.
Actually, depending on how much noise is in the audio, I'd prefer it over the odd noises that the noise cancelation in Audacity creates.
I could donate my sound library if that helps any. PM me if you're interested.
I'd be happy to contribute to software resources. Would it be possible to add the FSL as a section in the Resources page, or, do you think it is better left as its own topic, just with a link from the Resources section?
