Happy Valentine's Day!
Here's my newest film for the holiday! I put a serious amount of work into this, I hope you enjoy it.
This is a silent film in the way of talking, there are caption for everyone who speaks though I try to keep the talking as minimal as possible.
There are sounds in the movie but I try and make each sound have a purpose to be there.
This is pretty much my first romance film I've done, I kept Charlie Chaplin in mind while I was making this.
Keep in mind, the volume might become a bit nuts randomly.

Sorry for the very widescreen, that sadly could not be helped.
By the way, sorry about the Hannah Montana music].

Hope you enjoyed it!

My old YouTube is since long ago defunct - now even removed.
Here is my new one.

Re: "Valentine"

That was extremely enjoyably, I really loved the animation in the two music sequences!

No body's perfect!
I gotta work it!
Again and again 'til I get it right!
No body's perfect!
You live and you learn it!
And if I messed it up some time
No body's perfect!
I gotta work it!
I'll go 'til I find a way!
No body's perfect!
You live and you learn it!
Cause every body makes me stay!

Great film. Nicely done!

Re: "Valentine"

That was really nice.

That was beautiful!

Re: "Valentine"

Whoa man, I loved this. It had a real different style (which we need more of).

Re: "Valentine"

That was great. My favorite part was when he visited the girl's house. The punk guy's hair animation was pretty awesome. I enjoyed it a lot.

Re: "Valentine"

That was really good! I liked the animation, it was really well done when he was crawling. One minor problem though, most of the audio was only in one ear.

Re: "Valentine"

Wow mini/eek

That was REALLY awesome

This is definatly my favoriet movie by you.

Just amazing...

Re: "Valentine"

Very, very good. This is one of my favorite brickfilms that I've seen in a while. The fact that it had no dialogue is really what made it great because sometimes voice acting can really detract from a good film. Also, I usually don't enjoy watching longer brickfilms, but this one I was actually sad that it ended. Great animation, great story, and I loved the rocker's hair, nice touch. Keep making more full length films!!

Re: "Valentine"

That was great! I really love how you told the story with no speaking just text. Then end was a nice touch too. A really moving film.

Good job mini/mrgreen!

A really nice brickfilm, the ending made me smile mini/smile

Shame about the occasoinal light flicker

Re: "Valentine"

A film worthy of a few BAFAs, I must say I loved this film. Not only is the story is nice and (somewhat) original, the cinematography was just absolutely great. Especially the last few shots, very good. Awesome job, filmyguy! mini/smile

I know, that pained me a lot at times. It's when I zoom in too much I get a lot of light flicker, I've found.:P

Yes, I am truly sorry about the sound, this film was a bit rushed (definitely the editing part), after all, it was made in about 8 days in total. I got the idea 11 days ago and I didn't stop until I finished it and got it out on Valentine's Day, I think I'm getting better with deadlines. mini/smile
Also it was the first time I've ever done that slap-stick wind effect, it came out good, but I think it could be animated better. I'll talk to Littlebrick about it. mini/wink

I'm soo happy you liked the cinematography, that was practically all I was thinking about when I was filming it (aside from the animation). I don't like it when I sometimes see a great film from someone with a very plain cinematography. I'm really glad you think it's worthy for the BAFAs, that'd be great if it got in for this year.

Thank you so much guys for all the good comments. I thank the lord that I was able to get it up on the internet before I left (I went on a two-day trip out of town). There were a few close-calls, for a second I didn't think I would get the video up on time.
I'm so glad all of you liked it, I really should make more longer films.
Thanks again, guys. mini/smile

Re: "Valentine"

Very unique style, great animation and I loved the credits sequence. I think voices would have benifted though.

Three more links are up, Brickshelf, Vimeo and Myspace. Add me as a friend if you have an account!
They might take the video down from Myspace, but I'm not sure, they're a bit strict about copyrighted music and stuff like that. I had my uploading privileges taken away a while ago.

Also, I'm glad you liked it, Skullbrick. I still have to disagree with you about that it would be better if the people were talking in the film though. mini/tongue
