Well just about anything that occurs in my life movies I see, people I meet, personal experiences, music pretty broad horizon.

Usually I think of ideas and just brainstorm while I do other things throughout the day. The problem is if I get an idea I usually have to do school and I can't work on it. Then later I don't feel like filming. Once I get started though it's not so bad.
Sometimes an awesome idea just pops into my head while i'm building.
EDIT: Um... same as FilmsbyDan, actually.

Watching movies, building, I got a lot of ideas from the picutres of the new minifig packs coming out this year, and I got a few ideas from dreams I had.
I get inspired when I listen to music, since all the beats come out as scenes to me.
same, I also think getting new equiptment and software is a bit motivational.
When I'm in bed is the only time I really get ideas.

I normally get inspired when i see other brickfilms,or films that i have just seen in the cinema but sometimes i get ideas just thinking aout random things.
I'm not sure what does it for. I tend to get fixated on certain ideas and feel compelled to make them into a film.
Sometimes it just comes to me, other times I get ideas at the most random moments, like I got one for an un-announced film coming out next year, while I was peeing like hell. Ironically, it's called Yellow Fever. LOL
