BRAWL has Begun!
Brickfilm Rapidly All Week Long or BRAWL, is a contest in which you have ONE WEEK to write, build sets, voice, animate, edit, sound mix, and submit a brickfilm from scratch. Beginning right now, you have one week to do all of that. Any entries not received by July 15th, 2017 12:00 am (00:00) BST (British Standard Time) will be disqualified. It’s not an easy task, but that’s what makes it fun!
Theme & MOD Elements
The theme for BRAWL 2018 is Kairos. Now I know what you’re thinking, what does kairos mean? It’s defined by Merriam-Webster as “the opportune and decisive moment.” Basically, it means a very crucial and important moment. How does that impact your story? That’s for you to decide! Think of something creative, unique, and out of the box! As long as myself and the judges can tell that kairos is an essential part of your story, you’re good to go!
This year, in commemoration of BRAWL’s 10-year anniversary, the color MOD element is the same as The First BRAWL: a YELLOW piece connected to or directly touching a BLUE piece. The letter MOD element is the letter 'E'
Furthermore, all entries must clearly show the BRAWL 2018 logo for three uninterrupted seconds. The logos may be inserted digitally. Several high-quality resolution versions of the BRAWL 2018 logo can be found here.
For the full rules and information about how to enter BRAWL 2018, check out the Announement Post on the Forums!

We’re very excited to announce the seventh annual Brickworld Film Festival! The event theme for Brickworld Chicago 2018 is Seasons, and with the continued open invitation to directors around the globe, we’re looking forward to seeing the best entries yet! This year’s prize pack is just as awesome as last year’s, but this time we’re spreading the love. Directors will be eligible to win through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes! This year we are proudly sponsored by minifigs.me and can’t wait to get these awesome phonetic heads out to brickfilmers!
All eligible films will screen continuously in the Brickfilm Theater for the duration of Brickworld Chicago. The attendees of Brickworld Chicago will vote on the films to decide the winners.

Hey there, it's me, Chris W. I am taking over responsibilities as host of BRAWL (Brickfilm Rapidly All Week Long.) Previous host Fun Sucker has graciously given me the duties as host, and I hope to be just as great a host as he was.
And this year is a very special year. That's because it's BRAWL's TEN-YEAR ANNIVERSARY! But in terms of planning it, we need your help.
Like last year, BRAWL will take place while BiM's summer contest is happening. The official BiM summer contest will run from June 1st - September 1st. Fortunately it didn't create too big of an impact to either contest last year, and I don't believe the same will happen this year. Even still, we need your feedback for which week in July will work best.
Please click the link below and vote in the poll and leave any additional comments or questions. The poll will run for two weeks and the official announcement post will be posted in the next month to month-and-a-half.
Hello members of Bricks in Motion! If you've been around for any length of time, you probably know me. If not, hi! I'm rioforce. I'm the new administrator of BiM. I've been a member for a little over 4 years now and a moderator for almost 2 years and owe so much to BiM. Brickfilming has been one of the most life changing things I've done and I'm so thankful for the community we have here where we teach each other and encourage each other with animating.
Sillypenta, a good friend of mine and the rest of the staff, decided to resign as site admin after a great 13 months. Thank you Sillypenta for maintaining Bricks in Motion and being a great administrator!
*round of applause for Penta*
And thank you to Smeagol for trusting me with the site.
So, as the new site administrator, I'm here to help you have the best Bricks in Motion experience possible. If you need anything, Private Message me or (for a most likely faster response), find me on the BiM Discord chat (link on the homepage). And of course, you can always contact Bricks in Motion's great staff of admins and moderators here or with the handy "Report" button on each post.
I'm looking forward to the future of the site!
