Director's Comments

Deal is one of my films I'm very proud at.

-It's a film I went from comedy to serious with
-It ended second place in the very first BRAWL contest.
-And I loved animating the bar scene.

I hope you enjoy it :)

-Darkman

Staff Review

Randy Yard:
Visually, this film is one of the finer efforts out there, doing a good job of setting the appropriate mood early and maintaining it throughout the film's four-minute running time. Lighting and cinematography above the curve, and the animation more than does its job. Unfortunately, the BRAWL deadline hurried the director into making some mistakes that leave it short of its potential. Far too many elements of the script's comedic origins remain, and though entertaining, it's a bit formulaic and rushed. The voice actors turn in decent performances, but neither voice really sounds appropriate for their characters. The result is a finished film that doesn't feel... well, finished. But though there are mistakes, none of them should be deal breakers: there's plenty to make this film worth your time.
