Staff Review

Randy Yard:
"Plastic surgery" takes on a whole new meaning in this excellent film about an unfortunate man and a mugger who receives his comeuppance thanks to a lawsuit-inciting mishap. A cute and simple tale that utilizes neither dialogue nor music, this short captures the feel of old-school, pre-YouTube brickfilms as well as any film in recent memory. Though certainly not irreproachable, the film is an entertaining breath of fresh air amidst a sea of fight scenes, dynamic duos, and copyrighted character mash-ups. Calling it a must-watch would be a stretch, but if you're a fan of brickfilming's so-called golden era, this one is highly recommended.
