Director's Comments

This is my entry for Richard Frost's Anne Frank in Bricks Challenge. It won first place so I am naturally quite pleased. This film is a parody/homage to the fantastic works of WeirdEars and newbie films in general. It is loosely based upon the life of Anne Frank, but mostly based on the trailer by WeirdEars. I highly recommend that you watch that trailer before this film.

Staff Review

Zach Macias:
Those who aren't familiar with the past works of WeirdEars likely won't be able to fully appreciate this. However, fans of the old Brickfilms.com days should feel right at home with this wonderful homage to the classic stylings of the WeirdEars animation, complete with camera/set bumps, repeated animation, terrible voice acting, and more camera/set bumps (as well as a touch of Motfilms' great sense of humor). If you can get your hands on WeirdEars' original classic, I highly recommend you watch it beforehand so you can give this film a better context. Without that, it might just seem like a generic low-grade brickfilm, but if you're familiar with the style and know what to expect, you should be throughly entertained.
