Staff Review

Randy Yard:
Homophobes beware, as Keshen launches another full-out assault on good taste with this short. Though it contains the usual excellent comic timing, animation, and voice-acting, several areas in this film are decidedly lacking - the set is little more than a baseplate with a few plants to either side of the characters, the story derives a majority of its humor from the crass subject matter, the camera work is limited, and there's even a light flicker or two to be found. Keshen makes these simplicities work, however, and a case can be made that the film is better off for it; but if the subject matter is to blame for this somewhat underachieving short and its limited appeal, I have a feeling that many viewers wouldn't mind Keshen returning to (slightly) more family friendly fare with his next film. It's still way above the norm as far brickfilms go... just not Keshen's norm.
