Star Wars Episode VII: The Unoriginal Movie Idea

Based upon Spudster's idea for "Indiana Jones and the Unoriginal Movie Idea", a new younger director announces plans for a seventh Star Wars movie.  Does Darth Vader approve?

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Unoriginal Movie Idea

Nice job, especially for your first film with your new camera! My only problem is that the audio effects are very loud, and they cover up my beautiful voice.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Unoriginal Movie Idea

Thanks, Spudster.  On the computer on which I was editing, I actually lowered the audio effects.  mini/lol  They didn't sound loud there, but upon reviewing it on my laptop before putting it here on the forums, the audio was, as you said, loud and was louder here than on the desktop computer.  Not sure why that is so, but in future videos, I'll see if I can better work with the volume of the audio effects.  mini/smile

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Unoriginal Movie Idea

Could have been more animation - there was quite a large period where the character was just standing there with his arm up...

Thanks for helping to prove a point though. mini/wink

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Unoriginal Movie Idea

Good! I am Agree with Hazzat.

I'll not make an Unoriginal movie, I'll not make an Unoriginal movie, I'll not make an Unoriginal movie, I'll not make an Unoriginal movie, ect.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Unoriginal Movie Idea

I know I keep saying 'I agree a lot', but I agree that a little more animation was needed. Also, I know this is really nit-picky, but I think Vader should have swung his lightsaber faster, and there either shouldn't have been a gap between the guy falling apart, or there should have been a longer gap if you wanted a comedic effect. But this is really nitpicking - I enjoyed this little short.

I too like this campaign for more original movie ideas (I may just join it)

The contest ''Avant-Garde'', is a good idea for creating new originals movies ideas too!

Re: Star Wars Episode VII: The Unoriginal Movie Idea

Hazzat, I actually did add more animation, but it was during the time where Vader walked out of the scene, and I had already dismantled the set by the time I realised the way I wanted to edit it, and I think I as also a little lazy in animating.  I'm glad to have helped prove a point, though!  mini/lol

LGFB, that's a good boy.  Now, you are dismissed from class.  mini/wink  And I must agree, the Avant-Garde contest really is an excellent idea for creating original movies!

Max, yes, it was intended for comedic effect.  I'll work on tests to gather a feel for proper comedic timing in the future.  mini/smile  By all means, join away!

Offtopic: I think I completely exceeded the number of smilies needed if you count the one in my signature.
